The Early Learning Partnership Curriculum

Here at The Early Learning Partnership, we believe children deserve the best start in their education within Early Years. Our early years curriculum is designed around the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We prioritise the prime areas (Personal, social and emotional development, Communication and language, and Physical development) as foundational skills for future learning. From there, we build on the specific areas (Mathematics, Literacy, Understanding the world, and Expressive arts and design), reflecting on the characteristics of effective teaching and learning.

We believe that children learn best through a world of play, exploration, and hands-on experiences with activities tailored to their interests, needs, and stages of development. Our indoor and outdoor learning environments are carefully planned to be rich, engaging and stimulating. Alongside this, we create strong routines and consistent rules, enhancing our British values.

We track children’s progress regularly through observations and formative assessments using Development Matters as a reference and guidance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones and are ready for their next stage in their learning. Our goal is for all children to develop a love of learning, independence, resilience, and the foundational skills they need for success in life. We also value parent partnerships, recognising that they are key partners in their child’s development, and we ensure regular communication about their child’s learning journey.

We deliver our programmes across multiple settings, working closely with local partners to bring early learning support directly into the heart of each community.
We offer funded childcare places for eligible 9 months –5 year olds, giving families access to high-quality early learning.
Our EYFS-aligned curriculum nurtures children’s development from babies to preschoolers, supporting curiosity, independence, and the essential skills they need to be school-ready.
